Deal Alert: US Cities to Paris From $266 or 18,000 Points Round-Trip

[Mommy Points] Deal Alert: US Cities to Paris From $266 or 18,000 Points Round-Trip: Want to see the latest flight deals as soon as they?re published? Follow The Points Guy on Facebook and Twitter, and subscribe to text message alerts from our deals feed, @tpg_alerts.
Airfare deals are typically only available on limited dates. We recommend you use Google Flights to find dates to fly, then book through an online travel agency such as Orbitz or Expedia, which allows you to cancel flights without penalty by 11pm Eastern Time within one day of booking. However, if you?re using The Platinum Card® from American Express, you?ll need to book directly with the airline or through the Amex Travel portal to get 5x MR points. Remember: Fares may disappear quickly, so book right away and take advantage of Orbitz or Expedia?s courtesy cancellation if you?re unable to get the time away from work or family.
Flights to the City of Light are on sale! Major carriers including Air France, American and Delta are currently offering flights for as low as $266 round-trip or roughly 18,000 points if you have a Chase Sapphire Reserve and book through the Chase Ultimate Rewards travel portal. The best rates originate from American Airlines and Delta hubs such as Atlanta (ATL), Philadelphia (PHL), Miami (MIA) and New York (JFK) and are available to both major airports in Paris ? Charles de Gaulle (CDG) and Orly (ORY). CDG is Paris? main airport, though ORY is generally preferred by passengers as it?s closer to the city and smaller. You’ll find other solid fares from more origin airports listed below.
Many of these fares book into basic economy. That typically means means that you’ll have to pay to check a bag, but there are some exceptions, such as with Air France and Corsair. If you’re flying a full service carrier like Air France, American or Delta you’ll also get free meals and drinks as per usual. Keep in mind that you can combat some of the negative aspects of basic economy by using your airline elite status or a carrier?s co-branded credit card.
